Department of Plant Biology and Plant Biotechnology (as it is known from 2007-2008 onwards) conducted a National Symposium on RECENT TRENDS IN PLANT SCIENCES (NSCTPS18) on 22 and 23 February, 2018. Alumni meeting was conducted on 24th February, 2018 at the Botany Gallery. As part of the program a homage function was organized to pay tributes to the departed soul of Prof. Crispin Devadas, who died on 17th September, 2017 at Chicago. This function was attended by a number of alumni of the Department and a several former and retired faculty members. A portrait of Prof. S.Crispin Devadas was unveiled by Prof. D.E.P.Jeyasingh in recognition of his services to the department. Selected photographs are given in the following photo gallery.
